who are we
The studio is led by Felicity Barbur, an RIBA chartered architect who believes in realising people’s creative capacity to transform spaces. She is an expert in art and design work commissioning, building renovation, and re-use. She leads an undergraduate design studio at Oxford Brookes University, where her students design projects that catalyse social and environmental change.
Felicity completed her Masters at the Bartlett with Distinction. Her work explored the capacity of civic spaces as a site for public events that widen participation in urban discourse. Earlier, during her Bachelor’s at the University of Newcastle, she received nominations for both the RIBA Hadrian Medal and the RIBA President’s Bronze Medal with the proposal for a new form of architecture that would oscillate and reflect between the past and future of a site.
Felicity has worked for Kengo Kuma Associates in Tokyo, OMA in Rotterdam, and Sam Jacob Studio. For five years at Jan Kattein Architects, Felicity applied her ability to manage complex, long-term relationships and an eye for detail to design and deliver regeneration projects of various scales, from private single-home extensions to heritage-funded townscape initiatives.
